Final
grades have been posted. 3 students with one failing grade, which equates to a
96.7% passing all classes in grades 7-12 (5 students failed last spring). Two
of the three students were new to our school this year.

Activities
o
Ag Mech team placed 1st in the CDE at
Bonners Ferry, and the JH Forestry team placed 2nd in their event.
o
Student Awards Assembly was held on May 21, with
awards for all types of academic efforts as well as accolades from various
clubs, presented by teachers.
o
There were 5 students accepted to the Genesee
Chapter of the National Honor Society on May 21. Eleven returning students are in
NHS, which is 15% of the High School.
o
50 students in grades 7-12 went to Silverwood
for the day as part of the IDFY club activities.
o
Genesee Spring Cabaret was very nice with many
talented performers.

Athletics
o
Reggie Tilleman placed 4th in 1A shot
put and 6th in the discus at the state track meet.
o
Tyler Young placed 4th in the 1A 200m
run and 6th in the 100m run.
o
The Softball team placed 1st in the state Softball
tournament, and were also Academic Champions for 1A schools with a team GPA of
3.6
o
Genesee was 3rd in the Schools of
Excellence Program through the IHSAA this year. Mrs. Moore will explain
results.

Vision 21
Fun Run on May 31st went well. We followed the Fun Run with
the Final PRIDE Assembly, which involved color group games, raffle drawings for
the remaining gift cards and some t-shirts, along with the students selecting a
song with the new ASB officers for the first day of school activity next year.
SWPBIS--We
had 46 different students who were acknowledged in our PRIDE Assemblies this
year, and they received a gift card or a t-shirt. We had roughly the same
number participate in minute-to-win-it challenges and held 4 pizza parties for
40+ students. Each assembly we had around 28 students directly participate in
the assemblies, which is roughly 23% of the student body each assembly. We plan
to continue this type of acknowledgement in the future, with input from the
students. Thank you to Mr. Morrow for organizing the PRIDE Assemblies this
year.
