PSAT
Wednesday, October 16th

2nd
round of progress reports going out October 14th.
o
Parent
conferences will be held Nov. 7th and 8th. We will be
contacting parents of students with low grades for a conference. We will also
put information in the bulletin encouraging all parents to attend a conference.
o
Dual
credit information-the number of students taking dual credit courses for this
semester are down. Some of the courses that students are taking right now they will
actually register for dual credit next Spring such as Calc, Govt, Stats etc.

Activities
o
FFA-Genesee
Soils team took 2nd in Districts. The team will travel to Burley for state
Soils on October 15th
o
Homecoming
activities are occurring this week (Oct. 7-12)
·
Athletics
o
Dig
Pink was very successful, lots of student participation and a lot of money was
raised. Our students raised $738 in the coin drive alone.
o
VB
team finished 1st in League and #1 seed into the district tournament.
District tournament will be Oct. 19, 21, 23 and 24 at LCSC.
o
VB
State is Nov. 1st and 2nd at LCSC.
o
FB
team has 3 remaining regular season games. We still have a chance for the
playoffs if they win all of their remaining league games, which is definitely
possible.
o
JH
FB has 2 games left, will finish at the end of the month.
o
JH
VB has 17 girls participating. Games begin next week, that will run through
Nov. 12th

Vision
21
o
The
first PRIDE assembly will be held this Friday.
o
Students
have expressed an interest in service projects for the year, and through the
work of the color teams and student council we will help to organize their
efforts.
o
Planning
for community give-back day will take place over the next three weeks. Community
give-back day will be on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 7th.
