Semester pass rate was 96.9% 129/133
students passed all of their classes.

I
have been keeping track of the pass rate since January 2011. Here are the pass
rates from each semester. 1/11-93% 6/11-96%
1/12-99.25% 6/12-96.1% 1/13-96.8%
6/13-97.6% 1/14-96.9% I attribute these high rates to the
teachers being available to help (and sometimes prodding) students to complete
their work and missing assignments.

§ The numbers will vary from year to
year based on the class sizes, classes offered and how the credits are offered
and how many students take advantage of the opportunity. The year-long classes
offer the dual credit in the spring, that’s why the numbers are so much higher
in the spring.

The
Sophomore class went to the UI Library to learn the structure and organization
of how resources are cataloged. Students had to find books that they had
already looked up at home in the various sections of the library.

students participate in the Jazz Festival next week on Thursday and Friday.

Jazz
Concert with the University of Idaho was held in Moscow at the UI Music
Building on Monday March 3rd, 7pm. Students and community members
were bused to Moscow through a grant from the Latah County Arts & Cultural
Committee.

Two
students were selected to the Idaho All-State Treble Choir. The event will be
held in mid-April on the NNU campus.

Athletics
o
Congrats
to the Girl’s basketball team with a 4th place finish at state! The
team missed Academic Champions by .05 of a point in overall GPA.
o
Congrats
to the Boy’s basketball team with a 3rd place finish at state!
o
JH Bball has begun, and games will run through
the end of the month. The schedule is set up in quads this season for the whole
league.
o
Spring
sports first practice was Feb. 28th.
§ 21 students are out for Softball-we
will be trying to secure some JV games so everyone gets some playing time
throughout the season. Coach Thompson and Coach West are back again to lead the
team. First game is March 14th versus Lewiston JV.
§ 15 students are out for baseball-
Kevin Maurer is our new Coach, and he is assisted by Brad Neumayer. First game is March 15th
versus Kendrick in Juliaetta.
§ 17 students are out for Track- Mr.
Sams is coaching, and he is assisted by Bob Schwenne and Anna Cantrell. First
meet is March 22 in Lapwai.

Vision

There
was a PRIDE Assembly on Feb. 28th. Mr. Morrow included AG Week games
into the Minute-to-Win-It games, including dressing a goat!
o
The
Calculus students completed the “Bottle Project.” Students from each of the 4
schools worked together in teams to determine bottle specifications then
designed their own 20 oz. bottle.
o
The
8th grade Health class is starting work on the healthy meal unit.
o
The
Junior class is working on the Holocaust in US History and English 11. Mrs.
Booth and Mr. Hanson are collaborating projects as the students learn about
this period in history.
