give-back day was held November 6th. The projects the students
worked on this year were as follows:
§
Raking leaves in several people’s yards around
town and at the park below the school, winterizing and cleaning up the baseball
and football fields, painting playground lines on the blacktop, assisting with
the Habitat house, weeding and cleaning the flower boxes downtown, roadside
trash pick-up, and cleaning around the North side of the shop area.
§
It a great afternoon of work by the students and
staff. I would like to commend the staff on being so flexible and making it
work for the students as some of the jobs changed because of the weather. I
would like to commend the students for coming to school prepared for the
weather and digging in to help make a difference in the community.
