·         Vision 21
o   Community give-back day was held November 1st. The projects the students worked on this year were as follows:
§  Cleaning and painting at a community center in North Lewiston, spreading mulch around the shrubbery of the school, raking leaves in people’s yards and at the park below the school, winterizing and cleaning up the baseball and football fields, replacing lights on the city Holiday decorations, planting bulbs in the flower boxes downtown, roadside trash pick-up, pulling weeds and  cleaning up the North side of the shop area, sweeping out the bus barn, and  replacing gravel in the back of the school where some trench work was completed. The students want to more big projects like working at a community center, but they also want to do that kind of work in town, instead of leaving town to provide community service.
§  All in all, a great afternoon of work by the students and staff. I would like to commend the staff on organizing things and preparing the students in my absence.
