Some of the highlights of the first month are listed below.

classes are up and running. The Calculus and History of Rock and Roll students share class with students from Kendrick, Nezperce and Silver Creek HS out of the Sun Valley area.

to School night was held Sept. 4th

and 4H students participated in the Latah County Fair Sept. 12-16
o Dig It field trip for environmental Science class in Spokane on Sept. 19

Ropes
course field trip planned for 9th grade on Sept. 27

Teams have 21 girls out for VB

teams have 21 boys out for FB

Pink for VB was very successful and well attended

FB has 16 boys out for FB

VB started on Sept. 20, with 22 girls out for volleyball.

Vision

Johnny
Covey was our guest speaker for the first day of school and incorporated his
message into our school color groups.
o
Once
class officers are elected we will hold an ASB meeting to get input from
students over the level of involvement students want color groups throughout
the year. As a teaching staff we have identified a purpose for the color
groups, and some activities in which the students participate, but we want the
students input to help steer the direction of the color groups too.
o
Academically
we will continue to have project based learning activities, and start learning
more about how to effectively use technology in a variety of ways, not just the
traditional methods we are currently using. At some point we will have to
address the technology policy and update as needed.
As you can see there is a lot going on and it's full steam ahead. Students are involved and busy, and I hope staying on top of their studies too!
