·         Academics

o   Four weeks left in the semester

o   P/T Conference results

o   Teachers averaged about the same number of face-to-face contacts as last year (12), although they have been in more contact with parents throughout the semester, so they feel better about reaching parents about student progress. Teachers have numerous contacts through email, phone, and face-to-face during conference time and throughout the semester. Many teachers had 25+ contacts at conferences alone, which is up from last year at this time.

o   Teachers asked if we can have an evening or two to re-familiarize and show new parents about the parent portal, so Mr. Caldwell will check with Mr. Campbell about this request. Many parents look through their student’s login, but we want to provide the opportunity for parents to look through their portal too.

o   December 20^th will be the final D/F grade report for the semester

o   Finals will be January 15-17

o   Financial Aid Night for seniors and their parents January 7^th

o   Dual credit for Calculus, Government and Liberal Art/Stats Math will be addressed with students after break.

·         Activities

o   JH/HS Choir in UI Holiday Concert on Dec. 7^th

o   IDFY Movie Night on Dec. 12^th  

o   Fishing Rod building workshop will be held on Dec. 15^th and 16^th

o   JH/HS Winter Concert on Dec. 19^th  

o   Blood Drive at the school on January 7^th from 1-4pm. HOSA students will be managing the drives this year.

o   Spanish Club Meeting on Jan. 7^th

o   National Geography Bee Jan. 10^th  grades 4-8

o   Costa Rica parents only brunch on January 13^th to discuss trip guidelines etc.

o   8^th grade Drama will present their play on Jan. 13 and 14

o   FFA Regional Contest on Jan. 18^th

o   BPA Regional Contest on Jan. 25^th
