o
2nd
round of deficient progress reports going out October 11th.
o
Parent
conferences will be held Nov. 3rd and 4th. We will be
contacting parents of students with deficient grades for a conference, however, ALL PARENTS are encouraged to schedule a conference with teachers. We will also
put information in the bulletin encouraging all parents to attend a conference.
Mr. Scripter is also holding a parent session about dual credit and the
legislation passed earlier this year regarding the money for Advanced Opportunities for students.
o
Student
laptops seem to still be working well. We have replaced batteries in about 30
of them at this time. We have identified 3 areas of the laptop that will need
to be addressed the next time we plan the purchase of student laptops. Battery
life, power buttons and switching to a solid state hard drive will be key areas
to consider when we look at new models for the next cycle.
·
Activities
o
FFA-Genesee
Soils team took 2nd in Districts, and one team will travel to state. The team
traveled to Burley for state Soils on October 12th. This will most
likely be the last year we participate in soils at the district and state
levels. Declining interest to attend the state contest and the amount of school
time missed for Mr. Morrow and the students warrants a change for the future.
o
The
FFA Chapter is in the middle of their potato, onion and legumes fund-raiser.
o
Homecoming
activities occurred last week (Oct. 3-8). Great participation all around. Over
80% of the students dressed up each day, and the dance and game was were well
attended

and Cheer squad participated in the parade and pre-game show.

FB
team has 3 remaining regular season games. We play at Lapwai, at Kamiah and
home against CV for Senior night on October 28. The league takes 3 teams to the
state playoffs this year, and winning the remaining 3 games should secure us a
spot or tie at 3rd place in league. Time will tell over the next 3
weeks.
