Parent
conferences will be held Nov. 5th and 6th. We will be
contacting parents of students with low grades for a conference. We will also
put information in the bulletin encouraging all parents to attend a conference.
o
Fall is always
lighter for dual credit enrollments than spring is here, but this year that is
much more apparent than usual. This is due to at least two factors:
1)
We have zero
students in any of the online Health Professions courses this semester, which
has rarely happened since we started offering those courses.
o
2) All formerly
Tech Prep credit classes have been switched to Technical Competency Courses, at
least for this semester as they work through the changes to the process. This
means none of our students will have the opportunity to register for credit
until the end of this semester, in courses like Welding, Word Processing, etc.
o
Student
laptops seem to be working well. Still less than 10% have died, which is what
we expected. They are covered under warranty. Teachers are using a variety of
platforms for classes, and sharing ideas weekly at our staff meetings.
