Genesee JH-HS celebrates Red Ribbon Week.

On Thursday, October 22nd the Junior High and High School students, along with the teachers went to Troy for an assembly with presenter Brandon Lee White. This presentation was brought to Latah County by a grant from Latah County Youth Advocacy Council (LCYAC). Brandon talked about his life, about "owning it" and living clean without trying to be "preachy" to the students.

You can check out Brandon Lee White by searching "youth mover" or "Brandon Lee White" on google or go to the following link to see what he's about.

I want to thank the bus drivers, and Mrs. Moore for being so supportive of taking the sutdents to Troy for the presentation. The students and teachers thought it was one of the best assemblies we've had over the last few years.

The LCYAC ambassodors from Genesee also spent time on Friday, 10/23 talking to and working with 5th and 6th graders on Red Ribbon Week posters. Erin McCall, the LCYAC Director worked with the students and ambassodrs during the project too.

The annual IDFY P & Pizza will be held on Wednesday, November 11th from 5:30-7:30. Any JH or HS student interested in IDFY can talk to Mrs. Sperber, Mrs Tilleman or Mr. Morrow.
