November Report

Below is the report for the school board for the month of November. As you can see there are a lot of great activities going on, and we're really excited the students are still participating in the community give-back day.

· Academics

o Parent conferences will be held Nov. 2nd and 3rd. We will be contacting parents of students with low grades for a conference.

o 10 students with two or more low grades, which is up by 2 from last semester.

· Activities

o FFA Extemp, Creed, Greenhand and Sales on Nov. 4th

o JH/HS Fall Concert Nov. 9th

o Veteran’s Day Assembly Nov. 11th at 8:30am

· Athletics

o VB team was 2nd at the state tournament.

o FB team was named the 1A D1 2011 Academic Champions by the IHSAA.

o Girls basketball has 17 girls turned out. First game is Nov. 15th

o Boys basketball will start Nov. 11th.

· Vision 21

o Bulldog Pride Posters have been voted on and we’re in the works to have posters made up for the school.

o Community give-back day was held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 2. A list of the groups and their activities are listed below.

RED- Cleaning the little park across from the Post Office, and checking light bulbs on standing city Christmas decorations

PINK- Making treats for local businesses and picking up trash on the GEA route.

GREEN- Landscaping the hillside on the North side of the school/shop.

BLACK- Winterizing Football and Baseball field and storage car, and repainting the 4-square and kickball diamond on the blacktop.

BLUE- Raking leaves at the Lutheran Church.

PURPLE- Putting up holiday lights at the city park, and working at the food bank.

YELLOW- Getting tape off of bus and helping with checking lights on stand up Holiday decorations.
