A Genesee Thank-You!
Last weekend I spent my time in the Boise valley for State Softball and State Track. I want to extend a hearty THANK-YOU to the fans who traveled to support the athletes, whether it was in Caldwell, Middleton or Lewiston.
I also want to thank the boosters who voted to approve the meal money for state Baseball, Softball and Track teams. The support that is shown by our community is outstanding, and I know the players and coaches appreciate all you do for them throughout the season.
Although I know the teams wanted to bring home banners and blue colored trophies (instead of red), the genuine effort, fair play and level of sportsmanship displayed by our players, coaches and fans continues to show what a great community we have, and the level of support we have for our students. Two second place finishes and several track medals not only show the quality programs we have, but the players had great experiences and are hungry for another shot next year.
Congratulations Genesee!
