Secondary Report October 2011
· Academics
o PSAT Wednesday, October 12th
o 2nd round of progress reports going out October 14th.
o Alternative Graduation Mechanism revised and waiting for approval
o Parent conferences will be held Nov. 2nd and 3rd. We will be contacting parents of students with low grades for a conference.
· Activities
o IDFY Club held the Pizza night last week.
o FFA-Genesee Soils team took 2nd in Districts, and 9th in state.
o Brad Henning presentation for 8-11 grade students was held on Sept. 28th
§ Focused on healthy relationships
§ Dvd video of the presentation available for check-out through Mr. Scripter’s office if parents want to view it themselves.
· Athletics
o VB team clinched League title and #1 seed with wins over Lapwai and Highland.
o VB Team qualified for state, and will play for the championship and #1 seed Wednesday October 19th at 7:30pm.
o FB team has 2 remaining regular season games. Still have a chance for the playoffs if they win out.
o JH FB has 3 games left, will finish at the end of the month
o JH VB has 23 girls participating. Beginning games this week, that will run through Nov. 8th
· Vision 21
o Color teams have been building posters (for display in the school) that use the Bulldog Pride words. Vote on posters next week.
o Planning for community give-back day will take place over the next three weeks. Community give-back day will be on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 2.
